SIMPLY ELEGANT. Not sure of its age but I am convinced it has some and is probably late meiji period. wonderfully intricately carved chrysanthemums with simple storks and leaves in gold. there is no damage to item just some fading of the black lacquer which has turned green in places due to being displayed in sunlight. Any information on the piece will be greatfully received! bought in auction several years ago along with chinese red lacquered box.
