This is Gunto of pilot Harumasa Ishii of Japanese Navy Kure Air Squadron. Harumasa Ishii was volunteer soldier and a kamikaze pilot. This Gunto is original. This Gunto is shorter than usual Gunto. Because to bring Gunto in to the cockpit of the fighterUsual Navy Gunto is about 95㎝. This Gunto is about 85㎝. There is Wakizashi (short sword) in this Gunto. This Wakizashi is sharp. This Wakizashi is an original Japanese sword. There is Gun and Sword Control Law registration paper in this Wakizashi. This Wakizashi is Mumei. The length of this Wakizashi is 50.6㎝. Sori is 1.5㎝. This Wakizashi is a sword manufactured in Edo period. There are two very small chips in the blade. There is a fight wound in Mune. This Wakizashi was actually used by the samurai in Edo period. Parents of Harumasa put this Wakizashi in Gunto Koshirae and gave it to Harumasa. This Gunto is talisman for Harumasa. However, Harumasa had sent parents this Gunto and the testament before the suicide attack. This Gunto is relics of Harumasa.There is damage in sword pouch.
