Japanese style Samurai Blue steel handmade traditional Katana knife with different blade Only available in Japan!!! Very different from American and European Knife. is an auction for a beautiful and unique Japanese Samurai knife. Special Design. It has got a unique design on the blade which makes it very special. The technique used for this design is called “Tankin” which means the steel is hammered several times to make it hard and strong. You can see on the blade the black surface which has been hammered by the blacksmith several times. This is one of the technique used in the making of samurai sword. The blade is made up of blue steel with the combination of 3 layer.. On the bottom of the knife the famous Japanese warrior Miyamoto Musashi`s picture is encored and his name is also encored with black color. The amazing thing is that the maker of this knife’s name is also Miyamoto. He is an excellent blacksmith who has adopted the unique technique of making the samurai knife from Miyamoto Musashi from his great ancestor. Such kinds of blacksmiths are very rare in Japan who can make such Samurai knives which needs lot of dedication and skills. Mostly these blacksmith have inherited this skill ditary. Shape : The shape of the knife is very different from the regular American and European knives. It has an angular shape which is the specialty of the samurai knife. It has got a deep history behind this angular shape as the samurai carried three weapons with them one was sword and one medium knife and a small knife. In order to fit properly the small knife on the waist of the samurai tfore it has got such unique angular shape. History This knife is made in Hyogou prefecture which is the birthplace of the great samurai Miyamoto Musashi, which makes it very special from other Japanese knife. According to Miyamoto the knife should not only be strong but also beautiful. This encouraged the Japanese blacksmith to make the knives beautiful and strong.
