DESCRIPTION Japanese Tea Ceremony : "SETO-YAKI(ware)" MIZUSASHI.@t237 *Seto ware : It is the general term of the porcelain and pottery made in Seto-shi, Aichi Prefecture. It was the 8th century that the pottery was baked for the first time in Seto. The glazed pottery came to be baked in the 12th century. Those days, t is no other pottery which was glazed on Japan, and Seto ware was treated as high-quality articles. Generally the Seto ware at the time is called "Ko-Seto (old Seto ware)". Two kinds of glaze breezed by natural glaze are the features. One is light yellow-green "Kaiyu (ash glaze)", and another is deep brown "Tetsuyu (iron glaze)". The porcelain of Seto ware began to be made in the 17th century, and the mainstream moved from the pottery to porcelain.
