Overall nice condition antique Japanese ivory knife. From a vet's estate. The family story passed down is that it was a Japanese soldier's WWII suicide or fighting knife! I probably would not place much truth to the story? But, I am not an expert on Japanese WWII blades and will let those in the know decide! Either way, it is a nice genuine ivory knife. It just has a couple of edge chips w the blade enters the scabbard. The blade is about 6 inches and unsharped with age patina. The scabbard has a hole for attaching to clothing.
