ORIGINAL ART JEFF JONES (b. 1944) worked briefly in comics in the 1960s (mostly on CREEPY and EERIE) before moving on to the more lucrative paperback cover market. His style graced a diverse range of covers, from adventure series books like 'Nick Carter' to romantic adventure, gothic romance, sexy black comedies and more. In 1972 he began his long-running IDYL comic in NATIONAL LAMPOON, and a few years later began the legendary "The Studio" with Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, and Barry Windsor-Smith. This is the original illustration art for the Piers Anthony story "Hasan ," published in the December, 1969 issue of Fantastic Magazine . The art has am image area of approximately 5.5" x 19" and is in very good condition, with some dust shadowing in the bottom section.
