Wonderful Detail with Nice Tones to Image. This Limited Edition Print shows a high degree of Artistry and is a fabulous item for the serious Collector of Jerome Tiger or Native Amerian Artist Collector. The stickball game is an extension of the dance ceremonies that are part of the "Creek" culture and religion. A game of stickball usually follows a nightlong stompdance and is a gauge of the strength and endurance of the participants. Jerome Tiger masterfully captures the competitiveness of this age-old sport in his painting, "Tangle At Stickball." In this work Tiger's originality and inner vision are reflected in his treatment of the subject matter. The opponents are meant to evoke a mood rather than to be a photo perfect rendition of two men playing stickball. As with all of his art, Jerome Tiger was, first, the creative artist, and second, the historian bringing "Creek" history to the public.
