T his is a wooden works pilar and Splatt mantle clock. It probably dates to around 1830. The clock is complete. But for repair. I took pictures of a broken gear on the strike side. I think the time side is OK; power transfers to the escapement. The mirror is a replacement. On the bright side, I don't think that I have ever seen this label. I haven't seen all of them but it's probably, at the very least, uncommon. The Splatt is also uncommon. It's a federal eagle and says "time is money" on the banner. I've seen this on kitchen clocks but never on anything this early. The clock comes with weights, a pendulum bob and an original dial. Look at the pictures and and ask questions. The clock is being sold "as is" for repair with no returns.I would prefer a local pickup but would be glad to ship. If it must be shipped than the deal will have to be "as is" with no returns. Please plan to have a professional adjust it. It is possible that slight adjustments or repairs would be necessary after shipment. That being said, the package will be insured and probably sent fed ex.
