Jersey Shore PA OLIVER ST M. E. CHURCH 1907.1914 NO RESERVE. ***** First of two different Jersey Shore, Pa postcards being listed tonight, more in the near future, hope you'll watch for them.***** A postmarked in 1917, DIVIDED BACK, GOLDEN AGE ERA postcard made between 1907 and 1914 (probably circa 1907), of EPWORTH METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, OLIVER STREET in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. Great DETAILED colored image of BOTH SIDES OF THE DIRT STREET WITH AN APPROACHING TROLLEY, THE VICTORIAN ERA WOODEN EPWORTH M. E. CHURCH IN THE RIGHT FOREGROUND, AND A GREAT GAS STREET LIGHT (INCLUDING THE INSIDES); DETAILED enough that one can SEE THE INDIVIDUAL BOARDS AND SLATE SHINGLES AND SEE THE ARCHITECTURAL AND DECORATIVE INTRICACIES. It's a great collectible for the History, Architecture, Jersey Shore, PA, and Turn Of The Last Century Americana Collectors. Divided back postcards often used images from older photographs and Undivided Back cards, the image could be older. Corner and edge wear, bottom right corner missing, a fair + to good conditioned postcard. I LOSE SOME OF THE COLOR, FOCUS, AND CLARITY in the JPG file transfer; SCAN IS NOT AS BEAUTIFUL OR FOCUSED AS THE ACTUAL IMAGE.
