(Please note) This sale is for a quantity of 2 JF #1 Burners The JF #1 burnerNew design as of 8/12/10 includes an adjustable choke. This is a new improvement to the JF #1 burner. The new design has an adjustable choke which fully open will yeald a slightly lean burn. With this design the burner can be tuned to fire your forge, foundry, glass kiln, raku kiln, burn out kiln, or what ever you need to apply a lot of heat to and have full control of a lean to rich fuel mixture. The BTU out put of these burners has a wide range of as low as @10,000 and up to @160,000. Construction These propane fired burners are formed using precision machined tool steel dies and assembled via a skilled certified TIG welder in high precision alignment fixtures. The parts such as the ¼ inch NPT nipple and the brass fuel orifice are machined on a precision turret lathe as well to ensure the highest quality in manufacturing. Important things that should not be over looked are the finely tuned design of the nozzle and the long life it will provide. Unlike some burners that are designed for similar applications which can only maintain an ignited flame inside the chamber they were intended for (typically the refractory material of the device has a type of nozzle built in to it) these JF #1 burners maintain their flame as a stand alone product. The nozzle will not ever reach critical melting temperatures as most homemade burners will. This means you can weld or assemble these burners by any type of fixture you require and be assured of a very long burner life. Why purchase a JF #1 burner? If you are building your own forge, foundry, or raku kiln often the most challenging, time consuming and unforeseeable expensive part of the process is in building a proper burner. These burners have thousands of hours of technical design and testing behind them that would cost you a great deal to reproduce. They have been tested in multiple forge designs for blacksmithing, they have been used to fire foundries for melting aluminum and brass, and they have been used in the ceramics craft to fire raku kilns. Although these burners are capable of operating from 1 PSI to over 60 PSI the common operating pressures are from 3 to 15 PSI Any burner that compares functionally is easily double the price of the JF#1 burner. Conclusion If you are building a forge, foundry, raku kiln or some other type of thermal equipment these burners will bring you the highest level of satisfaction for an unbeatable price. On a personal note I have worked very hard to produce this American made product and I’m very proud to know many people will use it as they pursue the construction of their thermal device.
