Up for bid is a specimen from the Tunuliarfik Fjord in Greenland. There is a specific location there where we collected Ussingite so we call this the Ussingite Mine”. The first picture is taken under SW UV. The left area has an Orange fluorescing area that is probably Sodalite intermixed with the Ussingite. The center are has some Red fluorescing Tugtupite and Yellow fluorescing Polylithionite. The lower right corner has some White fluorescing Chkalovite that is altering to Tugtupite. Second picture is under white light and shows the daylight Purple Ussingite. Third picture is the bottom of the specimen, also under SW UV. Bottom 2/3 of picture is mostly Ussingite that has intermixed Sodalite that fluoresces Orange and an unknown that fluoresces Green. Top 1/3 of picture has layers of Sodalite in a nonfluorescent rock. This creates a great pattern. Final picture is under White light and shows the daylight Purple Ussingite. This piece was from an old collection I recently purchased. I have collected my own Ussingite and Tugtupite from this location so I can let this one go.Description: Ussingite (Daylight Purple, NF), Sodalite (FL Orange SW, MW, best LW, Polylithionite (FL Yellow-white SW), Chkalovite altering to Tugtupite (FL White), Unknown (FL Green SW) Location: Tunulliarfik Fjord - Ussingite Mine, , , Kitaa Province, Greenland read more
