You are bidding on a licensed handmade reproduction of Jimmy Lile's famed L1 hunting knife. Known as one of the best custom knife makers of all time, and probably best known for making the Rambo 1 First Blood and Rambo II knives for Sylvester Stalone, Jimmy did many great things for both the knife community and the state of Arkansas. Some of his earliest knives were etched James B. Lile. Then he used the stamp LILE. After his death the makers put a dot over the name LILE. And our licensed reproduction L1 and L2 have a circle around the name LILE. And the first reproduction of his #7 is laser etched "First Production Run". Each knife is handmade with 420J2 steel, the handles are made of imported Brazilian hardwood. Each knife is full tang. And the sheaths are real leather. The sheath for the #7 has a snap closure, and the sheaths for the L1 and L2 are were reproduced in the Cherokee Indian tradition that Jimmy liked so well. We are down to just a few cases of the L1 and L2 models. And we are down to our final case of #7's. Get them while they last. Those who knew Jimmy remember him as a true Southern Gentleman.
