IMPERIAL JINGZENHEN PORCELAIN COLLECTOR PLATE "LEGENDS OF WEST LAKE" PLATE #4 - "RISING SUN TERRACE" Designed by Master Artisan Jiang Xue-Bing, this is the fourth plate in the collection of LEGENDS OF WEST LAKE. The plate comes in its original box with its COA (in Chinese). There is also a leaflet explaining the story and the creation of the plate. The plate has been safely stored since 1990 and is EXCELLENT, like-new condition. LEGENDS OF WEST LAKE describes the beauty of this lake and its surrounding area in east China, its history dating back more than 2000 years. Natural beauty abounds, and behind each of these treasured sights in and around the lake, there is a legend . Sadly, few Westerners have been exposed to these wonderful stories. Master Artist Jiang Xue-Bing brings us his dream-like visions of West Lake. "Rising Sun Terrace" was inspired by one of the regions more beloved fok-tales. Lady Wisdom and the golden phoenix rejoice as the sun returns to the sky, and light and beauty return to the world. Lady Wisdom stands on a terrace of stones on Gemstone Mountain near West Lake, her arms stretched joyously to the heavens.
