- HERGE - LES AVENTURES DE JO. ZETTE ET JOCKO LA VALLEEDES COBRAS CASTERMAN 1957 Bound in colour illustrated boards with mustard colour cloth spine. Measuring approx 30cm x 23cm x 0.8cm. The boards are a hint bowed and a little marked/pale stained to edges of rear board, and to front title panel. Very lightly grubby and rubbed, and extremities a little scuffed and touch chipped. Internally there are colour endpapers to front and rear and the 'belong to' is not filled in. The inner edges of rear endpapers/blanks are a little wrinkled with soem very very pale staining. The reverse of rear free endpaper and blank are stained. There is a pale foxed patch to title page (see photo). There is a small mark to margin of the majority of leaves, and some very very pale staining to fore-edges (slightly affecting text in a couple of leaves). Lightly grubby and thumbed, and outer page edges a hint wavy, else still in bright, most clean and tight condition. A charming and scarce FIRST EDITION. Jo, Zette and Jocko is a comic book series created by Hergé, the Belgian writer-artist who was best known for The Adventures of Tintin . The heroes of the series are two young children, brother and sister Jo and Zette Legrand and their pet monkey Jocko .
