This is an original Pencil & Ink Drawing of Superman. This piece was pencil drawn by the great Joe Quesada ( who is now the Editor and Chief of Marvel Comics!) and inked with fine ink brush by Brian Stelfreeze. I was fortunate to meet Joe & Brian at the 1993 Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. At that time Joe was drawing the X-O Man O War character for Valiant and Brian was doing a Batman Project for DC Comics. I was attending the Heroes Con with my son and we were having dinner in the hotel lounge when we met Joe and Brian. We had a nice conversation and were discussing favorite comic characters when I asked Joe if he would ever consider drawing a Superman piece. Joe said he'd be very interested but only if Brian would consent to ink the piece. Brian said he'd be happy to ink a drawing by Joe and they told me to meet them the next morning and they would have something for me. Little did I expect this magnificent piece of original art that you see pictured I actually wound up having a photocopy made for each of them, as they both said they wanted it for their portfolio. This is a very unique collaboration and it will make a very special display for the lucky winning bidder. This is done on 11X 14 heavy lb. Drawing paper, similar in texture and quality to the drawing paper used for original comic art pages and the piece has been museum read more
