This authentic Document is from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and dated Feb. 21, 1815. It reads that the Governor and Commander in chief, has accepted the Resignation of Enos Foote as Lieutenant Colonel Commandment of the second Regiment in the first Brigade and 4th division of the Militia of this Commonwealth and is honerably discharged, at his own request from the office of Liet. Col. Commandment in the Regiment aforesaid. and signed in full is normal J. Brooks. Size is 12x7. Mint original coloring. T is some minor paper loss on the top right hand corner which doesn't touch any print and has a few tears starting on the edges from the folds. All and all this would grade ex+ with the exception of the paper loss. BROOKS, John, governor of Massachusetts, born in Medford, Massachusetts, 31 May, 1752; died 1 March, 1825.
