The first is from Johannes Iversen who imported National Security pens to Denmark, with names including John Bull. The second source of John Bull pens in Denmark is clearly as a Penol sub-brand since the pens are very similar to known Penol models and use the same parts and components, and even Penol nibs, in the John Bull pens.Prior to 1920, Johannes Iversen in Denmark, purchased pens from De La Rue in England for sale in Denmark. De La Rue sold pens in Japan at the Maruzen stationary shop using the brand name "Orion." After 1920, Iversen purchased pens in England from a different British company, The National Security company.
