This is Historic Performance Records HPLP #1, Eric Dolphy Quintet (sic) Live At Mount Meru (Volume 1), a white cover and label original mono issue of this historic live session from November 23, 1961 featuring the classic John Coltrane quartet with Eric Dolphy. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The original plain white cover has the proper session information written in pen and on a typed label, and is otherwise excellent and intact. The plain white labels have the session information typed on labels and attached by tape and are excellent and intact. A copy of the original advertising for the entire series will be included for the winner. This is a wonderful collector's grade copy of a historic issue of a historic concert. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be listing over the next few months. Please check our other listings.
