You are bidding on a book entitled Seeing is Believing by Carter Dickson ( John Dickson Carr ). This is a a hardcover book in jacket published in 1941 by William Morrow and Company and is a first edition. The book has tape ghosts on the endpapers but otherwise in good condition, tightly bound, with a square text block, sound hinges and minimal external wear. The jacket is missing a large piece of the lower spine and is in poor condition. This book is from the personal collection of Charles N. Brown, co-founder, editor and publisher of Locus magazine, who was quite a mystery reader as well. In the coming weeks I will post a number of books from the collection. Some of his favorite authors were Fredric Brown, Harry Stephen Keeler, Arthur Upfield, Robert Van Gulik, John D. Macdonald, Ross Thomas, John Dickson Carr, et. al.
