JOHN LEACH Muchelney Studio Pottery Signed Handled Casserole Bernard Leach Link Superb, hand-thrown and wood fired stoneware handled casserole from John Leach's Muchelney Pottery. Fully glazed interior and a toasted exterior created by a heavy reduction wood firing. Impressed "MUCHELNEY" on base (please see photos). Size (approx.): 8 cm high x 20 cm wide (excl. handle), approximately 1 litre. In BRAND NEW, UNUSED condition - no chips or cracks. Bought for me as a wedding present in 1991 and has just sat in my larder cupboard ever since. If you love cooking, this handled casserole is a perfect addition to your kitchen, from oven to table. You can still purchase this item on the David Mellor Design website priced at £83. John Leach’s work is highly collectable and can be found in the V&A Museum and many public and private collections.
