This is a wonderful sculpture-figurine by the renowned sculptor-artist John Perry. This is a highly detailed sculpture of an owl sitting in a tree in the classic pose of a predator. The owl is made of a marble looking material, this owl is solid, not just a hallow shell. This sculpture is new, never displayed, directly from the John Perry Studios. The base is made of manzanita burlwood, formerly used for firewood; the root burl of the manzanita bush is now appreciated for the beauty and incredible variety of its form. This art piece measures approximately: 10 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The owl itself measures 5 1/2 tall X 4 wide and 2 inches deep.
