Absolutely brilliant and extremely RARE genuine and authentic 7" x 5" signed photo, signed in blue ink, by the famed politician John Profumo. I personally wrote to John Profumo in 1997 and received the signed photo with a typed letter signed dated 6th February 1997 on 'Toynbee Hall From the President' personal stationery from his private secretary in which she writes 'Dear Mr Snell, I am enclosing a photograph signed by Mr Profumo for your collection but I thought I should just mention that he does not normally do this. Since he left public life over 30 years ago he made it a rule not to sign autographs, give interviews etc, and has stuck to that decision ever since. He felt, however, that your request was an "exception" and hopes that you will be kind enough not to "advertise" the fact to friends or colleagues which might prompt them similarly to write.' and is signed Miss P Plumb Private Secretary. Signed photo will come with this letter which proves provenance. As can be seen an extremely rare and collectible item. Both photo and letter are in excellent condition.
