Pots, Art and other great collectibles Historical information : In this listing, I am offering this well constructed drinking vessel created by John Schulps. Per the Vasefinder Museum: John Schulps was born and reared in Southern California. He received his undergraduate degree from CSU Northridge. He received his advanced degree from UCLA. In the 1960's, he played professional football and then for many years coached youth and high school football teams in Orland, California. John taught ceramics at Moorpark Junior College, as well as he had several apprentices over the years. In addition to creating powerful functional studio pottery forms, he also produced knives and worked in several mediums. For many years, his work was sold through renaissance faires, where he developed a loyal following.
