From an inherited estate we are able to offer this stunning "Hong Kong" Plate by Artist John Stobart, made by Royal Doulton. This collector plate was never displayed, as relatives kept purchasing so many plates, they started shelving them in a closet. The artist on this plate is a British artist. Beautiful ships in the ocean harbor, hills and beautiful blue sky. Beautiful hues in the coloring. From 1979. This plate was manufactured by the Royal Doulton Collectors International in England. It is the fourth in a series called "The Log of the Dashing Wave", and is a limited edition plate. Limited to 15,000, this one is # 6,507. Dimensions are 10 1/2" diameter. Plate is trimmed in gold, and all informational writing on backside is in green. It is in its original box, original artist brochure is enclosed. Plate snaps like into a tray that is like velvet to hold it in place inside the box. This has a broken edge on the plastic tray and the box has some outer paper torn off on a corner from being stored for so many years. Plate is PERFECT!!!! Simply stunning!!!
