R John Wright creates the most wonderful and detailed characters out of the finest wool felt. The Flower Fairies are from a series of illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker in the early 1900s.This little fairy is 8" tall and is fully jointed at the shoulders, hips, and neck.she has delicately hand painted features and a sculpted felt body and her graceful arms are hand sewn with tiny individual fingers.She wears a pink silk dress with felt leaves at the shoulders.Her wings are hand painted on silk organza. She holds a stalk of clover with a fuzzy bumble bee. Only the first 100in the series come with a bumble bee.She is number 57 out of a limited edition of 250. She comes in her original box with her certificate of authenticity. She was only displayed briefly in a smoke free home.Shipping is free only in the lower 48 states, All other bidders should ask for a shipping quote before bidding.
