JOHNNY LIGHTNING / RC2JOHNNY RETRO RELEASE 2'69 AMC AMXDIE-CAST METAL BODY & CHASSISThis 1969 AMC AMX , '69 AMX, '69 AMC American Motors Experimental (AMX) has authentic detail in a Pearlescent Aqua Body, Gray Interior, A Two-Door Model (Doors do not open), Detailed Engine under Opening Hood, Black Front Grille with "AMX" badging on Drivers Side, "AMX" emblems on sides behind rear windows, Clear & Open Windows and Silver Chrome Wheel Rims.A Highly Detailed 1:64th Scale Die-Cast Metal Body & Chassis .American Motors was astutely aware of the burgeoning muscle car market in the mid-'60s, so it began working to crank out the bigger engines that helped define the movement. The "AMX," short for American Motors Experimental , was introduced in 1968 with a standard 290, but with the addition of the optional "Go Package," the power plant could be bumped up to either 342 or 390 cid.
