~ Beautiful Antique Knife, marked " Joseph Elliot & Sons Cutlers Sheffield "in a google search I found 2 sets of dates of operation for the Joseph Elliot & Sons Cutlers company , one stated between 1821 & 1854 , The other & more likely stated 1795 to the mid 1900s , definatly opperating during the Fur Trade & American West expansion , or may not of made it past a mid 1800s Boston butcher shop. However it is a Great Quality antique Blade/knife that would enhance any collection. Very nice condition , No cracks in the handles, very nice logo on blade , 5 brass pin handles. Beatiful Wood ! Unique grain & paterns , again No cracks , very sturdy. Nice shape to the blade , some minor staining, but no rust or pitting , Very nice CLEAR markings. It is aprox. 13 & 3/4" long over all.
