This auction is for Journey into Mystery #109. This is a key issue in the silver-age of Marvel comics. Thor takes on Magneto. The condition of this comic is suspect. There are some holes in the spine, most noticeable from the back cover. There's also some marvel chipping going on. You might notice some red writing on the front cover inside Magneto's power aura. Inside the comic is complete without additional writing. Overall, I'd give this comic a GD. Now, please notice the writing on the 'H' and 'O' of Thor on the front cover. At first I just thought some kid was laying claim on the comic, but at closer examination, they sure looked like names I'd heard before like STAN LEE and LEN WEIN. There are no photos or certificates of authenticity, but they look pretty legit to me. I estimate the value of this comic to be about $40, without the writing factored in. Paypal is the only way to pay. I wish I could offer free shipping, but Ebay fees and paypal fees just seem to take too much. Shipping for one comic will be $3 (first class), and the additional fee for the 2nd comic will be $1.90, but that will upgrade shipping to priority mail. I've securely shipped up to 16 comics in a flat rate envelope, so there will be no additional shipping fees beyond the first two comics. I'll charge actual postage prices for ebayers outside the U.S.
