Although I really wasn’t looking forward to yet another attempt to “retcon” her confusing multiple origins combined with a “beats up everyone to prove how tough she is” plot, here it works.Bravo and kudos to DC for finally confronting the unacknowledged elephant in the room concerning Power Girl’s, um, measurements. While the script contains what I really hope will be the very last variation of the hackneyed “Hey, I’m up here” line, in context it’s both funny and appropriate.What really helps is Amanda Conner’s evocative art, which really gives the reader a feel for the character, especially her unexpected endearingly goofy side.
