Bronze four prutot, Hendin 487,fine, , Samaria mint, 40 B.C.; obverse HRWDOU BASILEWS (of King Herod), crested helmet, LG - P (= year 3 of the tetrarchy = 40 B.C.) across fields; reverse decorated shield with ornate edge. Biblical king. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy Him."
