For bid is an original July 1, 1966 Berkeley BARB underground newspaper overall number 46, Volume 2, number 26. "Exclusive PABLO NERUDA Interview / Poems." Newspaper has 8 pages of early counterculture articles & local California advertising, etc. Some university-related content. Mention of US President Lyndon Baines Johnson visiting Los Angeles. There was growing animosity for LBJ about the escalation of the war in Vietnam. Newspaper is complete and very decent. Tiny corner torn off of page 1/2 but no text missing...Newspaper includes a full-page JOEL BECK cartoon (legendary underground comic book creator).
