This large 18 oz. vintage salt glaze pottery mug was made by Monroe Salt Works of Maine, which started in 1972 but went out of business in 2011; hence, these mugs are no longer being made. The mug is in excellent condition. “Monroe Salt Works, Monroe Maine” on the bottom and signed “MSW”. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Measures approx. 4” high x 4” wide. Holds 18 oz. of liquidMonroe Salt Works made handmade stoneware. Each piece is handcrafted and no two are quite alike, reflecting Monroe Saltworks’ commitment to workmanship, quality, and design. Monroe Saltworks has been recognized as one of the preeminent salt glaze studios in the country. Salt glazing makes pottery that's extremely durable – it’s ovenproof, microwave and dishwasher safe.
