I AM LISTING SEVERAL ITEMS FROM AN OLD COLLECTION INCLUDING OTHER SELECT EARLY PAPER, PHOTOS, & ANTIQUES SO IF THESE INTEREST YOU CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!!------- Original June 11, 1927 engraved homecoming reception celebration invitation card for Charles Lindbergh� on June 11, 1927, a fleet of warships and multiple flights of military aircraft including pursuit planes, bombers and the rigid airship� USS� Los Angeles� (ZR-3), escorted him up the� Potomac River� to� Washington, D.C.� where President� Calvin Coolidge� awarded him the� Distinguished Flying Cross at an event sponsered by the National Press Club. Found together in an estate with 2-8"X10" photos of the event itself. #1: First photo of Lindy having just� received� the Distinguished Flying Cross from Pres. Coolidge who is standing a few feet to Lindy's left looking down, his head is partially obscured by the bank of microphones. Lindy is clearly wearing the Distinguished Flying Cross he just recieved from Coolidge, it is on his coat when looked at with a glass, and he is shaking hands with a dignitary having turned his back to the President. #2.
