This custom machined metal replica was manufactured by Palmetto EFX using the original hero-prop as reference. This same company also manufactured the prop seen in the extended Bluray footage and is responsible for the pieces that have been displayed in the parks. It is considered by knowledgeable collectors to be the last word on this prop. If you've spent any time at all looking for one of these then you already know what a difficult piece it can be to find due to the extremely low numbers that were produced. No finer example of this piece has ever been offered.� This piece should not be confused with the inferior hobby-builds offered elsewhere; this isn't someone's best guess. This museum quality replica features a fully functional, spring loaded cryorack that 'pops' open when the bottom portion of the rack is turned. The cryo-rack can then be reseated with a twist and a push. Operation is identical to the original. In fact, everything on this piece from the proper centrifuge tubes to the correct colored (rust) o-ring that compliments this piece is identical to the known hero prop.
