V ery nice functioning JVC Videosphere circa 1970 with Alarm Clock The Videosphere was a JVC CRT television that was shaped in the form of a space helmet. It was first introduced in 1970, and was popular for its modern "space age" design. The design of the Videosphere is said to have been inspired by the film '2001: A Space Odyssey' though the Videosphere's shape in itself, remains as one of the most iconic examples of the early 1970's design ethos. It would find itself perfectly at home in both a Bond Villain's lair, or Austin Powers' Swinging Pad.This unit has no cracks, but there are slight scuffs here and there... nothing terrible for a set of this age (40 years). Antenna still attached all parts included. cable input still attached. Chain handle on top still attached and sturdy. This Awesome Television is Fully Functional! Great deal for this gadget. Get it while you can!Don't forget - CAN BE HOOKED UP TO CABLE SO IT WILL BE A FULLY-FUNCTIONING MODERN T.V. WITH A SWINGING 1970'S VIBE
