Up for sale is a ka-bar bone handled clasp knife. Measures 5 1/2 inches closed. Has genuine bone handles, and brass liners. Knife has never been used ,carried, or sharpened. No cracks or chips in the handles. This is a very high quality knife.Nickle silver bolsters. Very strong snap both open and close.Made in 1998 to celebrate 100 years of ka-bar. Blade is tang stamped,KA-BAR olean N.Y. Back tang, com98. Pictures were taken outside and may show reflections, there are no spots on the knife. Blade is gold etched, 100 years 1898 union razor co KA-BAR union cutlery co 1998.Etch is not faded out it has all of its color. Shield is a picture of a man fighting a bear it reads ka-bar knives 1898 1998.This knife is not like the ka-bar grizzly clasp knives made from 1986-90 this knife has the Same quality as a case classic knife.Looks to have been made by bluegrass cutlery the makers of the case classics.Blade centers up when closed and has a good solid backspring.A very scarce knife.Box is in nice shape.
