You are bidding on a game prepared Kansas City Monarchs (Negro League) throwback home jersey #33. The jersey was prepared for use in the annual Negro Leagues Baseball throwback game at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. in 2012. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind uniform made expressly for the MLB game between the Minnesota Twins who wore uniforms styled after the Negro Leagues' St. Paul Gophers and the Kansas City Royals who wore uniforms based on this Kansas City Monarchs design. This professional quality baseball uniform features the vintage styled intertwined navy blue "KC" on the jersey front in stitched lettering and stitched numbers on the back, navy blue collar and sleeve trim. This is a really sharp old school style uniform made of modern (light weight) fabric. It was made by AIS and carries the proper tagging on the tail of the jersey. The jersey is size 50. This jersey was NOT worn in the game. It was a duplicate jersey carrying Jeremy Guthrie's number 33. The jersey Guthrie wore and autographed was sold by the Negro Leagues Museum in their on-line sale. However, now that the Royals new ace, James Shields is wearing 33, this jersey has new meaning.
