Karel APPEL Circus Prospectus Catalogue of Print Series Graph 2000 ABCD Editions Description KAREL APPEL CIRCUS Realise par GRAPH 2000 Nice Pour ABCD Editions Text is in French We have not seen another copy of this rare gem anywhere in the world. It is the fully illustrated softcover catalogue with stiff wraps, published as a prospectus for the first two volumes of Karel Appel's famous Circus series of prints. The catalogue is in French, and it notes, "c e catalogue a ete realise a l'occasion de la parution des deux premiers volumes de l'album "APELL'S CIRCUS", recit et gravures de Karel Appel. " It lists all 20 etchings in Volume I and Volume 2 Karel Appel's celebrated "Circus" series by title, and the last end page describes the edition. (Arches paper, the measurements the total number of etchings, the total edition run, etc.) - essentially it is the tirage page for the first two volumes of the artists's beautiful Circus edition. This catalogue measures 5.75 square inches and features 20 dazzling color illustrations of each of the prints in the series. The glueline at the spine is apparent from each page, though the catalogue is not unbound. (It was exacerbated when we opened it fully to scan several photos).
