This is one of several pieces that we purchased at a recent estate sale. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete set so we are selling these separately. This set was produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art (only the teapot is marked with the MOM marking). Each of the pieces have a delightful illustration by Kate Greenaway on the front along with a nursery rhyme on the back. This piece features a girl with a piece of bread on a skewer to toast over the fire and another girl holding a teapot. The nursery rhyme on the back is "Polly put the Kettle on". CONDITION: Excellent no chips/cracks/crazing or any sign of wear or use. APPROXIMATE SIZE: 5" tall to the tip of the lid. MARKINGS: Metropolitan Museum of Art and the number 526 incised on the bottom.
