Up for auction is a really great Cole Pottery pitcher and mug set, in a wonderful multi-color green mottled glaze. We bought these pieces at the pottery from Celia Cole in early 1996. I don't think they were sold as a set, I seem to remember that we bought the individual pieces and just assembled them as a set. Cole Pottery is in Sanford, North Carolina. The pitcher is just under 11" tall and is absolutely beautiful. It has a well formed spout and an ice keeper strap. It is signed on the bottom "Kenneth George 10-31-95 Sanford, NC Its hard to believe November is already ". It also has the circular Cole Pottery stamp. It could be used for iced tea, coffee, milk, lemonade, etc. The pitcher has a nice fitting lid. The four mugs, cups, tumblers, whatever you want to call them, are "pinched" style, w the sides are pinched in to form a handy place for your hand to hold them comfortably. The four mugs were made by Celia Cole and are signed by her on the bottom. One is dated 12-5-95, the other three are dated 1-29-96. Each one has the circular stamp and a saying on the bottom. The sayings include - "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", "Time out for tea", "Tea time come and get it", and "Hello World I Love You". The mugs are approx. 4.25" tall. All of the pieces are in perfect condition, as they came from the pottery. The pitcher and two read more
