This is set # 199 (of 2000) of the limited edition 1989 Kentucky Derby Festival Event Pin Series, rendered in cloisonne. There are five pins in the set, housed in a 5" by 7" black case made for that purpose. A plaque on the front of the case indicates the set number. There is also a certificate of authenticity taped to the back of the case. The five pins include a commemorative version of the 1989 Pegasus Pin, as well as pins depicting four other annual Derby Festival events: the Balloon Race, the Mini-Marathon, the Steamboat Race and the Pegasus Parade.
