Welcome to audiioperception. Up for bid is a rare vintage Kenwood Integrated Amp model KA-9100. Production Year 1978. This amp was Kenwood's top-of-the-line for its year. It is massive in weight. Cosmetics approach about 97%. No dents or major scratches. The top covers have very few slight sperficiial "scuff" marks which are hardly noticeable. Front faceplate is in excellent condition as well as the knobs and switch caps. Meter bulbs are functional. One slight issue is that on the far left front faceplate, someone scratched in their social. I buffed it down and polished it with 600 grit sandpaper. Then, applied a bright chrome strip about 1/32 inch thich. Looks wonderful. Entire amp was cleaned inside and out. ALL switches and pots were painstakingly cleaned with Caig products (twice) using a 3 part cleaning process. The signal is pure and strong. The back RCA's were light burnished using 1200 grit sandpaper. I was amazed that the RCA's are gold plated!!!!! They were also treated, only the tuner, aux and pre-out/power out ones. This amp is a beauty and you won't be dissapointed in its appearance and sound.
