This and all the other kris handles I have for sale were in two museum shows at the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham AL, and the Art Museum in St. Petersburg FL. I can email additional information on these shows and the article on them published in the World of Tribal Arts Magazine. These are very fine examples collected over a period of 20 years and selected from many thousands of keris hilts I had offered to me. The Madurese people were particularly close to the Dutch, note the crown and other colonial motifs on this very well carved piece. About 3 1/2" tall by 2" wide, excellent condition slight wear and patina, hardwood. These and the other keris objects I have listed were included in a show at the Birmingham Art Museum and also the art museum in St. Petersburg FL.
