Greetings. You are bidding on the original art for the daily comic strip KERRY DRAKE drawn by the comic strip artist Alfred Andriola . This particular daily features three panels and was published on March 24, (year unknown; the strip has a 50s or early 60s sort of feel to it). The paper size is approximately 19.5” by 6.5”. The strip is signed "Alfred Andriola" and dated "3-24". The art is inscribed "Greetings to Jane Mendoza from Kerry Drake and Alfred Andriola" in red pen or marker above the art. Distributed by Publishers Syndicate (or Publishers Hall Syndicate). The copyright indicia is missing. Description : This is NOT a copy or stat or proof. This is the original art (pen and ink) for the comic strip, drawn by Alfred Andriola (or one of his assistants). Andriola's deft mastery of line and character is on full display as this strip presents a burglary allegedly committed by a monkey (at least that's how the clues look). A nicely rendered and uncommon original comic strip. Character and Artist Information : KERRY DRAKE was an American comic strip which ran from 1943 through 1983. Written for most of that time by Allen Saunders, the strip began with Kerry as an investigator for the DA's office.
