ZDP 189 IS 6 TIMES MORE DURABLE THAN 154CM STEEL IN TESTS DONE BY WILLIAM HENRY KNIVES. is a paragraph from Blade Magazine. In a recent interview, Rick Thronburg of William Henry Knives stated, "ZDP 189 possesses a toughness that is much like D2 steel. And blades crafted from this material can be resharpened with conventional methods, although diamond sharpeners will produce the desired result in less time." In cutting tests conducted by William Henry Knives on 1-inch manila rope, ZDP 189 exhibited four times the cutting power of D2, six times that of 154CM and seven times that of 440C.
