It opens with torsion bar assistance from about 30 degrees with light pressure on the back flipper. This is what a tactical should feel like. You know you have a knife in your hands when you carry this one. Ken Onion and Strider joined forces to design thistop-quality combat folding knife equipped with SpeedSafe® manual assisted opening. The ambidextrous thumb stud or blade protrusion enables you to deploy the blade one-handed even while wearing gloves. In addition to SpeedSafe®, the 0301 features a tough S30V stainless-steel blade with “Tiger Stripe” Tungsten DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating, which enhances hardness and reduces friction drag—as well as providing a non-reflective camo surface. The S30V blade steel is designed to provide a near perfect combination of durability, wear and corrosion resistance. The blade is matched with Ranger Green G-10 and titanium scales, 3-D machined to provide a secure grip. A 3/8-inch hex head pivot shaft nut makes field adjustments possible with minimal tools.
