As quoted in the book "With Kewpish Love" by Theriault Auctions, page 65, item #204, "Porcelain miniature perfume bottle was introduced about 1920, influenced by the Kewpie craze. The featured urchin like figures with painted forelock curl and were modeled in many of the classic Kewpie poses." The Kewpie is 3" (8cm) to the top of its gold metallic stopper. The rubber cork is long gone. It rotted away to the touch. The bottom of the Kewpie says Germany 49. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. The cork would be easy to replace, Nice example of this item. !!
