This is a newly made set of slightly vintage polychrome Kiffa round beads from Mauritania, Africa. This Kiffa bead set was newly made by organized groups of women bead makers in Mauritania in the beginning of the 1990's. These women utilized basically the same methods that were used in creating the antique Kiffa beads but they never succeeded in reaching the same quality of the antique Kiffa beads whose mastery always eluded them. This Kiffa bead set is in good rustic condition with some wear and is a very nice example of newer made Kiffa beads. This very highly desirable Kiffa bead sets largest specimen measure 20.60mm long by 19.09mm wide and would be excellent for jewelry making or adding to your African trade bead collection.
