King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table Set One of the greatest myths of medieval literature certainly is the epic tale of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail. In the writings of Chretien de Troyes the quest for the Grail becomes a symbol for the medieval ideals of knighthood, gallantry, and chivalry.
