This Limited Edition Cover was issued in 1996 to commemorate the reign of King Edward VIII The cover is signed by The Viscount Monckton of Brenchley CB, OBE,MC,DL whose family had close connections with the Duke of Windsor (the title he took after abdicating) - he was godfather to Monckton's second son, Timothy. There is a commemorative coin with the words "EDWARD VIII KING & EMPEROR" There is a 35p stamp with a 'postmark' "The Abdication of Edward VIII Fort Belvedere, Windsor, Berkshire 10th December 1996" There is a 25p stamp with a 'postmark' " 60th Anniversary of King Edward VIII 20th January 1996, Sandringham" There are 4 Edwardian Stamps 1/2d, 1d,1 1/2d and 2 1/2d with a 'postmark' "the Reign of Edward VIII 20 Jan-10th Dec 1936 325 days" There is a portrait of King Edward VIII which is bordered with 22 carat gold.
